Flow 7: Why we stopped forecasting and started recording
Planning your work is easy. Actually doing it is hard. Flow 7 is our answer to the 'productivity guilt' trap.
Flow 7: Why we stopped forecasting and started recording
Most productivity apps are built for "Forecasting." You write down what you hope to do today. At the end of the day, you have a list of half-finished tasks and a feeling of guilt.
When we built Flow 7, we took a different path.
The Performance Awareness Pivot
Instead of asking "What are you going to do?", Flow 7 asks "What are you doing right now?"
By focusing on the Record rather than the Forecast, we found that builders and high-performers feel more in control. You don't need a to-do list that lies to you. You need a factual history of your output.
Technical Edge
Flow 7 is built to be "invisible." The goal was to make the friction of recording work lower than the friction of ignoring it. This required a mobile-first approach with real-time sync that works even on bad connections.
We use Flow 7 internally to track our own build times for NIT7ER clients. It's how we know exactly how long a "Big Fix" build actually takes.
